President Biden Signs Continuing Resolution

With only a few hours before the end of the fiscal year, President Biden signed the bi-partisan CR that funds the government to Nov. 17, 2023

Bipartisan Continuing Resolution Heads to President

Hello Everyone,

The Bipartisan Continuing Resolution (CR) passes the Senate and is headed to President Biden for his signature. The CR funds the government for 45-days to Nov.17, 2023. Once signed, the CR avoids a government shutdown and allows NASA and the rest of the federal government to continue our important work for the American people without interruption.

House Passes Clean CR

The House passes a clean bipartisan 45-day Continuing Resolution. The CR heads to the Senate for consideration.

With the possibility of a government shutdown starting October 1, 2023, the Ames Federal Employees Union (AFEU) is prepared support members of the Ames CBU. 

 

Reminder: If you are not a member of the Ames Federal Employees Union and haven't already signed up for the AFEU mailing list, this will be our last opportunity to communicate with you about the possible government shutdown.

• Work with Ames Center Management to provide information about the status of Ames during the shutdown.
• Provide email and website, afeu.org/, updates with the latest information about the shutdown
  • NASA Emergency Information and Status
  • Communications from Congresswoman Anna Eshoo and other elected officials’ offices
  • Communications from the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE), AFEU’s parent organization
  • Community resources and activities
